Colle Moro celebrates half a century with a great folk party

Colle Moro wine cellar was founded in 1961 in Guastameroli di Frisa. In the evenings of Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th August, it celebrates its 50 years of activity with a great outdoor party that will animate the small village.
Dishes of the traditional cuisine will be served with the wines of the cooperative, while music and dances will cheer all participants. The wine cellar square, which has been recently renovated, will be accurately equipped to host the wine cellar partners and their relatives, as well as tourists and visitors. The president Nino Cipolletta affirms: “Sociality and friendship are the main features of this party. We are very glad to share our anniversary with customers and tourists who are visiting in this period the so-called “Costa dei Trabocchi”. We invite them to taste our traditional dishes, our excellent wines and meet our partners and their families”. The event will start on Saturday 6th August at 7 p.m. and some local authorities will also participate. Among them, Mauro Febbo, Regional Councillor for Agriculture, Enrico Di Giuseppantonio, president of Chieti provincial administration, the mayors of Frisa and other villages where Colle Moro grapes are produced, and Secondo Ricci, the president of the association CA.VI.RO (the great cooperative of Emilia-Romagna dealing with some Colle Moro wines).

Some importers and the sellers of the wine cellar will be present during the event. This year, sellers have achieved great results, with an increase in sales, compared to the previous year, equal to 20% in the first six months of 2011. “We are experiencing an opposite trend compared to the general market - says Cipolletta - especially thanks to the export increase. There is still much work to do to completely develop our end product potential; however results are confirming that we are on the right track. If you are determined to pursue high quality, you will reach your aim, even in periods of crisis”.
